Huge shout-out to @lnashsig for the chance to crack this one. Looking forward to it immensely. Pour is a dark brown/black affair with two fingers of mocha, wispy and bubbled head. Brewed with cocoa nibs and spices.
Nose offers some light acidity but not much of the spiciness that follows in the tastes.
This beer is light on its feet, and offers plenty of the cocoa nibs that are advertised and some simpler, light spice notes too. Nothing dramatic or too heavy here, the beer offers some easy drinking but with it a decent amount of complexity.
There is a very nice balance of drinkability and depth, with some alcohol coming through but not in an aggressive way. This simple but complex feature has been a hallmark of the @karbachbrewing beers that I have been fortunate enough to sample. Neat.
Very moreish, requiring multiple big gulps!
Satisfying for me, with a nice light ginger and arrowroot element. Simple, light mouthfeel, the beer is not at all heavy and dances around the alcohol in an interesting way. At 8% there is a presence for the EtOH, but it’s all well in check. Tidy.
A well put together beer in a style that I enjoy. It’s a Winter Warmer/Herbed Spiced beer crossover with plenty to endear it to me. Very tasty, I feel as though I want a lot more.
The cocoa begins to kick in a little at the end, but only in as much as the beer seems a little drier. Tremendous enjoyable and highly drinkable.
Other: Winter Warmer, Herbed/Spiced beer 8.00% ABV.
